About the Artist

Pamela J. Hadley {Clapp} was born in Southfield, Michigan in 1981. I She is the middle of three girls. Her mother was a school teacher and her father was a pipe fitte, both retired. Pam’s love of art was sparked with her mother’s “field trips” all over Metro Detroit. Middle and high school were spent experimenting with book making, printing, and drawing.

Pamela graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004. She has had solo shows at Salzburg College 2002, Western Michigan University, and several group shows at WMU from 2000–2004.

Her work currently resides in several personal collections in several countries. She lived and worked in Montana for one glorious decade, and now resides in El Campo, Texas with her husband and two sons. From the mountains to the prairie.

She is also the owner and chief creator at her own independent paint party art studio, The Workshop. In between talking people down off the cliff of self-criticism, she truly enjoys creating a space where the joy of creating can be discovered by even the most cynical.
